If u love ur person don't send them here . They are rude not helpful can't tell you were there patients are there or what floor .my friend is been there 4 days and finally got to call me he said he don't feel better the keep him sleeping and he don't feel like he's get better no therapy there. He is so angry he went to copper springs and they are great there but because they were full they put him here bad staff and dirty.

The staff is racial and partial to the African American community. They abuse the most vulnerable. They are unprofessional and need to be under new directors if the current management and directors think anything going on in this place is okay. The psych dr only cared about keeping me in as long as my insurance would pay not how I was feeling and I was not listened to or heard. I would say more but that will be done through proper channels. Do not bring anyone here voluntarily EVER don’t use this facility even as a last resort. The homeless shelter will offer more assistance to vulnerable people.

I would not recommend this hospital. However I believe the employees have a tough job, so 2 stars it is. My 86yr old father stayed there for 10 days. Initially they wouldn't tell me anything about him, until I gave proof I am his POA. When they did give me info, they said he gave them verbal consent. He claims he didn't. Anyway communication there is horrible. Getting through to anyone is a challenge. The front desk answers the phone if you let it ring awhile for the most part, but the units don't. There are several very rude employees (Aubrey being the worst), but also a lot of really nice, helpful employees. The only communication I received about my dad's progress is when I initiated it. When he was released, they literally handed me a packet of info that they did not explain or go over in any way. I told the case worker I had an appointment scheduled with his PCP already, but she scheduled one with a different PCP. I wanted him to go through Denova for follow up mental healthcare, but was told his insurance didn't cover Denova-not true. Again the case worker set up an appointment with someone else. So I had to take extra time to cancel appointments not needed. They do not work closely with families on a plan. The website is just a lot of fluff. I do *think* my dad's medications were leveled out. Time will tell, as he seems to be pretty close to the same state he was in when he checked himself in. Again 2 stars for a difficult job these employees have. They definitely need to handle things better, and understand their positions are an important part of their patient's mental health.

I was just discharged from this facility last Wednesday and I AM APPALLED by the lack of compassion most of these workers have! I’d never recommend this place to anyone and truthfully it should be shut down immediately. I went to Mind 24/7 for urgent mental care and they transferred me to this ran down prison like facility. Upon arrival, they took almost an hour to even open the door to start the intake process! First red flag ? getting into the facility the person doing the intake seemed so lost. My week wasn’t better. I am vegan so I do not eat any animal products. I filled out the paperwork saying this. And kept getting the food everyone else was being given. Which was not plant based at all… I told them my diet and the next meal still was not all plant based. So immediately was upset and let them know again!!!! Like hello the bathrooms are so disgusting! Crumbs were everywhere! On the seats and all over the floor. The BHT’s were so rude! They act like you don’t exist sometimes. They dismiss you when you try to make a call WITHIN the time range they specify for “phone calls”. And to sum it all up, the last two days I was nearly given the wrong medication my last night there. They also NEVER sent my prescription to the pharmacy. And a BHT really tried to get in my face the last day in my discharge. Don’t go here. Save your mental health from being destroyed by the way they treat people here.

Horrible place. Left my uncle in bed for days. Kept him drugged up. Does not answer phones. Does not return calls either. His wallet and phone "lost" but not his shoes. Send him to banner hosp w/o next of kin paperwork!! Hospital had him 4 days know knowing who to call. Who does that! Hospital noted bruises upon admission! DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!

My husband was transported to this place from the ER he was at. I called two times and the receptionist told me that she was not able to tell me weather or not he was there which is crazy to me because the hospital staff told me where they were sending him. I cannot get in touch with him to see how he is and I’m very worried that he has not yet received his medications that are life sustaining. The rude and very aggressive receptionist answering the phones today will not help me and I’m so scared for him. I need to know what I can do to get him moved out of that place. After reading the reviews from both patients and family members I’m so worried and scared for him. Im going to contact a lawyer to see what I can do as his wife to get him out of that place.

I was transferred to this place from Mind 24-7. I was in a manic episode that would go full blown psychosis if I didn't get help as soon as possible. I was out of it and didn't know where I was or what I was doing anymore. This place helped me to recover and take the right medication for my illness. It's not the best hospital and it was scary at first. The food was edible but not great. I couldn't even go outside. We had an activities lady who sang music to us, I always looked forward to that event. We had markers and crayons and coloring pages which helped us heal and we also had crossword puzzles to get our minds working. We didn't have our phones on us so we used that time to actually talk to people. We had showers and the staff was washing our clothes. The group therapy wasn't an every day event. They hand out so many drugs that you can literally just sleep all day and all night. I wish they let us go outside. I never asked. The windows were covered and I could only see the sun shining through and I began to miss the outside world. It felt like a prison but we were safe. There was a psychiatric nurse that would see us in the morning and prescribe our medications. I just wish there were more art supplies and more tables and chairs or have an actual art supply room. Coloring and talking to people helped me the most in here. When I left the doctor told me he didn't want to see me in there again. That's fine with me, I'd rather go to a better hospital if I need help again. They wouldn't even give me a pen or pencil to fill out my discharge paper. I had to use one of the art supplies to get out of there.

Some of the nurses do not care about your medical needs and they will try and trigger you they definitely need more staff , do not know how to work with autism people and just pump you full of plenty of meds . Barely 1 group a day . Food is not half bad but very very small portions and have to wait a day or two to be able to speak with dietary person have to put in an order for everything . Not very clean on the weekends only one cleaning lady actually did their job and she’s leaving cus it’s so bad and no one likes to do there job they tell you 2 days stay but it’s really a week cus they don’t have enough staff and too many patients 3 nurses on one unit full of 20-30 people ridiculous! Meds always late too. Smoke breaks tho
