So, I recently found myself in need of bringing my car back home from North Florida. Now, instead of hitting the panic button and preparing myself for a gut-wrenching $800-$1,000 tow bill (seriously, are these trucks made of gold?), I went with the cheaper and much more Pedro-approved option: U-Haul.

For just $50 (yep, you read that right, fifty bucks), I rented a car dolly that saved my wallet from a financial black hole. That’s like 95% cheaper—or to put it in clearer terms, I saved enough to fund a small island vacation… or at least a very fancy dinner with my wife.

U-Haul’s team? Friendly enough to make you feel like you’re borrowing a dolly from your favorite friend. The process was smooth, the pricing reasonable, and the dolly, well, it did exactly what a dolly should do: it got my car home without any issues. Would I give them five stars? Well, maybe not five because I’m still waiting for my official U-Haul VIP parking spot (hint hint). But a solid four stars for sure—because it got the job done, and I didn’t have to sell a kidney in the process.

If you ever find yourself needing to haul something and want to avoid being towed into financial ruin, U-Haul’s your best bet.

The facility was clean and well lit. I truly felt all my belongings were safe and secure. If I didn’t get the door locked correctly I was notified immediately by this company and could come out and get the unit secure. I truly appreciated that. The UHaul trucks were clean and well maintained. They were also very reasonably priced. If I need a storage unit or truck again I will use this company again. I would recommend this facility to others as it has an A+ rating in my book.

The facility is super clean and well maintained. The bathroom is clean also. There are a lot of carts available to make loading and unloading convenient. We also rented a Van and the vehicle was super clean and well maintained. The staff are helpful and friendly as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION for all your moving and storage needs.

I regret to say that my experience with the staff I interacted with was disappointing. In previous experiences with different U-Haul locations, I was informed that a major credit card or DEBIT CARD with a major credit card logo was required at the time of pick-up for Cargo Van and Pickup Truck rentals. However, when I called U-Haul Moving & Storage of Sebring, Florida, to inquire about renting a pickup truck, I was told that I could not use a debit card at all only a major credit card or cash would be accepted.

When I arrived in person, the staff seemed uncertain about whether they could complete the transaction with cash even though they said they could over the phone, which caused unnecessary confusion and delay. Due to this, I ultimately decided to leave and take my business elsewhere, as I had successfully done in the past.

I was able to get the U-Haul that I needed without hassle at a different location. I had initially chosen U-Haul Moving & Storage of Sebring because my usual rental location was closed on Sunday, but based on this experience, I am hesitant to return if the process continues to be this complicated.

Not pleased. Rented a vehicle with a trailer to move something’s from my grandmas house. One way drive from Sebring to west palm beach, tire blew on the trailer causing me to almost crash and then waiting now almost 2 hours for u haul roadside. So dangerous. Why wasn’t this tire checked? It only made it 80 miles or so until it blew. Now we are stuck sitting in the middle of the highway. Thank you

As a businessman and business owner, my experience with this new facility; is that it is bright and clean with security for each unit and great promise. The process administration and staff are being tested in its infancy while the manager; Kathy Schmidt is top notch, courteous and professional and will help you work through any hitches you encounter. A little patience is in order while Kathy quickly brings the staff and facility up to standards that no doubt will be the exemplar of excellence within the organization. You can rest assured your possessions are secure and conveniently available, with the further confidence that even hurricane Ian could little but loosen a gutter from the obviously well designed and prudently constructed building. It seems UHaul thought of everything with regards to convenience, confidence, and value. And then there is Kathy; outstanding!
