I came to this center as a result of a breakthrough Migraine that surfaced yesterday. I was in utter agony today. When I called for an appointment today, they had one readily available. I arrived early to my appointment out of respect for the doctor's time. Unlike most doctor offices who is forever running behind schedule, not only were they efficiently running on time, they were ahead and was able to accommodate my early presence. Once I was back in the treating room, the time spent waiting was less than 5 minutes. What struck me most about this doctor is he didn't have a superiority complex. He never came across as he knew better because he was the doctor. Rather, he cared about what has worked and what hasn't worked. He wanted to know the activities leading up to the breakthrough migraine, and together we were able to uncover what triggered. Since I am relocating to this environment, this doctor was not only concerned about treating this migraine, but he took into consideration where I was going so he could try to prevent future breakthroughs. I loved the fact he allowed me to be apart of the decision making process. When there was a course of treatment I would rather try something else, he respected that and accommodated that. I ended up needing an injection in the booty, and suffice it to say, an infant has a higher pain threshold than I do. But the nurse who administered it was so good, I never felt the needle going in, or the medication being injected. She knew precisely the area to inject for the least discomfort, and also the appropriate amount of pressure on the needle plunger to avoid flushing medication into my system. I didn't need to massage the area to disperse the medication at all. I'm truly impressed.
