H. Allen is a sharing, giving and helpful Judge. I was her paralegal at the PD’s office and she always treated me with respect. She is well deserving of the robe and the bench is fortunate to have her.

I will have to disagree with the plethora of comments that claims she is bias. Also claiming that she is rude etc. she was nothing but purely respectful and understanding of the situations. She definitely possesses all the knowledge and I only saw her operate within the law. So she gets a five star from me.

Honorable? Not in the slightest way. She should not treat people the way she does. Especially people who are not criminals. People like her don’t deserve this title. She’s very rude, tardy, arrogant and bias to say the least. She talks down to people (literally). If she’s is going to be (allowed) to continue working as a “Judge” then a little advice would be to review your cases, before you speak non-sense out of your mouth. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated and especially in our Judicial system. I can sit here and write you all day of the horrible experience my family had with this women, but you’ll just have to see for yourself. I will say this. I will still raise my children to respect others, especially the law. Obviously she wasn’t taught the same values and morals.

If I could give her a negative star I would. This Judge is bias and feels as though she is above the law. She feels as though she can override standard court procedures and will continue to do so until people hold her accountable. Here are some reviews from other lawyers as well, which still hold ground today in 2016:

1. All I have to say is all the negatives I've read in regards to her character have remained the same.

2. Displays obvious bias in temperament; applies the appropriate law only when consistent with her bias. Wastes court time scolding attorneys who do not meet her biased criteria. Does not listen to arguments of disfavored counsel. Inserts implications of disrespect by disfavored counsel against favored counsel, adding her own commentary to magnify benign statements and arguments.

3. She is a disappointment as a judge. She seems to misunderstand the law often and is very state oriented.

4. Extremely rude. Confuses basic terms like judgment debtor and judgment creditor, doesn't prepare for hearings by reviewing pleadings, wastes everyone's time by refusing to cancel hearings even when the matter is moot. Wastes time by scolding people and interrupting them instead of listening. Does not require parties to cooperate with each other to set hearings or review proposed orders. Ignores written motions and fails to rule on them or set them for hearing.
Cynical and distrustful without any valid evidence for her opinion.

Judge Faye L. Allen will NOT be getting my vote when she is up for re-election. I was at Legal Aid to fight my eviction and the lawyer looked at me closed the door and told me she was sorry for me becsuse I got the "worst judge" that goes with the landlord 99% of the time. It was her opinion but, the lawyer didn't like the judge at all. Personally, I think this judge needs to remember everyone she is hurting by helping crooked landlords.

Judge Allen was re-elected without opposition in 2014, winning a six-year term that expires on January 4, 2021.

After reading the reviews I was afraid to go to the courtroom. I had a very good experience, the judge is very reasonable and knowledgeable. She can "read" people.
