I have to say the staff are very pleasant but the doctors are hit or miss. We have had a much a better experience at the Lake Hopatcong office. Krystens bedside mannor is far from professional. I understand being desensitized after doing this job for many years but she has zero empathy or gentleness for new parents or children. My sons first checkup after leaving the hospital left me in tears as she told me to stop holding him, to stop spoiling him, etc. She has no idea what we went through to have this rainbow baby and her lack of empathy is just not acceptable. I gave it several appointments and her behaviour never changed. I now see the other doctors in the practice and have had a much better experience. I would not recommend Krysten for newborns. Maybe for older children and teens, but for new mothers who are full of hormones and so excited to have a baby, she is not for you.

**my last appointment with her my son was sick, I had zero sleep and she was just rude. At one point I took off my glasses and rubbed my eyes and she said "excuse me, look at me I'm talking to you". Yea you can bet that was our last time at this practice. It is a shame because the rest of the staff there are wonderful.

Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kristen and all the ladies in the office! They are readily available if you need anything, and Dr. Kristen will do her best to call back asap if you ever have a question or need a consult with her after hours. I have had to deal with some medical issues with my son and Dr. Kristen has always given me a peace of mind and will always take her time to explain everything to me. The appointments never feel rushed which is very rare in today’s world. Dr. Kristen and all the ladies in the office truly care. They are all so pleasant and kind. I am so thankful to have found this practice and will recommend it to everyone I know!

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here and ended up changing pediatricians for my daughter because if it.

I’d like to start by saying I have never left a Google review. The reason I am today is because I feel strongly that people know my experience.

My last appointment with Kristen was late winter of 2023 for my daughter’s 12 month appointment. At the beginning of the appointment when Kristen needed to check my daughter’s ears/nose/mouth, Kristen had me maneuvering/restraining my daughter that felt extremely unnatural and borderline vicious. She instructed me to use my two hands to grip her wrists and hold her forehead back with my arm. The next position was holding down her legs and restraining her forehead hard against mine. Kristen hadn’t communicated her goal, which was to examine ears/nose/mouth, so it made it hard for be to understand what we were doing and why. Instead, it was extremely chaotic and of course my daughter started to cry. Kristen began raising her voice at me by saying “come on mom, tell her it’s okay. Say it like you mean it!” If you’re a mother, I hope you can put yourself in my shoes and imagine a woman yelling at you to convince your daughter that “it’s okay” when you, yourself, are even uncomfortable. All while this was happening, she was rattling off info about how many words my daughter should say by 15 months 18 months, and other milestones. Again, it was a poor example of communication because this was amidst the chaos and it was so hard for me to focus. (I’d like to point out- I don’t expect a doctors appointment for a very young child to go perfectly smoothly. I understand they are bound to cry and I understand the mom may help hold/support the baby so the doctor can get where he/she needs- this goes far beyond those standards.)

I left the visit feeling stunned, deeply uncomfortable, and it legitimately made me feel guilty as a mother that I didn’t step in and take a break during the exam. A routine doctors visit should not make people feel this way.

Being a new mom you want the best for your child and Kristen made me feel secure and relieved my anxiety about being a new parent. She answers all my questions and gives me good advice. She is friendly is so is the whole staff at the office. I have never had such a pleasant experience going to a doctors office.

Highly recommend! Kristen and her staff are beyond what other pediatricians offer to families. Our family followed her when she started her own practice. We are fortunate she stayed close because otherwise we would be traveling across state lines for her to care for our children. Efficient, knowledgeable, down to earth, compassionate, friendly, calming, clean environment and so much more! Wait time is minimal, you can always get in for an emergency. There is no wasted time or unnecessary tests. Everyone makes you feel like family. I actually enjoy going here!! This amazing woman will receive an invitation to my children’s weddings.

Kristen DePuyt is by far the best pediatrician I found for my kids over 7 years ago. The staff is phenomenal, on top of everything. It amazes me how efficient they all work together and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my kids. I drive an hour away because I wouldn’t trust anyone else to care for my kids. iPediatrics is a different experience, the environment is always welcoming. Best decision I’ve made for my kids.

I have been taking my son Braden to Dr. Kristen since he was a week old. He is now turning 3 yrs old. We love Dr. Kristen and her staff! Knowledgeable, friendly, reliable, fast and efficient. Straight to the point,old school and no sugar coating, they are as real as they come. Highly recommend, from the front desk ladies to the nurses to all the doctors they are the best at ipeds!
