I absolutely love my psychiatrist! I had been looking for years and years to find a doctor that really cares and that I’m consistent with; this is the place. I wouldn’t change doctors if you paid me! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! These doctors work with you and listen to your needs and will continue to work with you during trial and error. I hope my psychiatrist sees this because she is an angel in disguise! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love my psychiatrist here, she is amazing and always helps me out. But if you need any support or any help from the support staff good luck because you won’t get it. Overcharged my account for a visit I didn’t get to do because they had to close their office due to power loss. Told them TWICE that it charged me and both times they said it will be refunded and that someone would reach out. I’ve been calling since Monday last week during normal business hours trying to get a hold of anyone and NO ONE will answer my call. When I did finally reach someone they transferred me and then that person hung up on me. So beyond frustrated and this isn’t the only time I’ve had issues with them. If it wasn’t for Deborah being so good with me I would go anywhere else other than here.

If I could give this place zero stars, matter fact; minus zero stars, I definitely will! Unprofessional office staff! Renew, Michelle, and whomever answers the phone! Quick tip; if you’re a patient, call them from a private number. They see you calling, yet will ignore All calls no matter what option you press! Can’t wait to get a referral from my pcp! Alyssa is great, no problems with Dr. Scardino. I wonder though; how and why is the Office Manager, Michelle, and the receptionist soooo ugly! You literally work for a psychiatrist! Minus zero stars times a billion

Just spoke to the woman who answers phones and sends forms. My calls are all recorded automatically because i have been stalked by my ex.

She put my name down on these forms instead of my child's. I have no way to change this, as the name is locked on my end. When I called back to let her know she said there was no way that happened (meanwhile I'm looking at the form). She continued to deny it even after I asked her to have someone else check, because it's ok if she doesn't know how, but I need new consent forms. I asked to speak to someone I'm charge of the office. She said she could resend the same forms but there was no way it was her fault and she asked someone near her to speak to this difficult client. She also told me to print and use white out but we don't have access to a printer, and are doing telehealth so we won't even be in the office.

Meanwhile I never blamed her, I just wanted new forms. The issue was never who's fault it was. It wasn't even an issue. This is the 3rd bad interaction I've had with this woman.

I told her we don't want to use psych matters anymore regardless of who recommended them. No matter how good the doctors are, if the support staff can't even deal with a simple mistake on their end without GASLIGHTING their patients, there's no way I would ever put my child in danger by exposing her to someone like that intentionally.

Psych Matters turned out to be a significant letdown, and here's why:

1. Unprofessional Customer Service: From the very first call, it was evident that their customer service lacked basic professionalism. Greetings and proper identification were nowhere to be found.

2. Therapeutic Inconsistency: One of the therapists abruptly stopped contacting me without providing any reasons. Later, I found out this was a common issue from reading Nick Morales' review. It seems like they have problems with therapists staying or communicating changes.

3. Administrative Negligence: My provider consistently forgot to contact my insurance for approval, causing unnecessary delays in my treatment. The repeated oversight and lack of follow-through were a constant source of frustration.

4. Communication Breakdown: They never returned calls, leaving me hanging and feeling neglected. Basic communication seemed to be a significant challenge for them.

5. Insurance Confusion: When I inquired about accepted insurances, nobody could provide clear information. It's a basic detail they should know and share.

6. Money Over Care: The impression I got was that they prioritized money over patient care. They wanted to charge me for medical records, even though I was leaving due to their unprofessionalism.

7. Lack of Compassion: When I decided to leave and explained my reasons, the response was far from understanding. The lady I spoke to had a condescending tone, and even the Alyssa the nurse who works under Dr Scardino I saw ignored my email about leaving. I was really hurt by her because I thought she cared about me, and my daughter and she couldn't even email me back or call me? I really thought she cared about us but she really let me down. I trusted her. It felt like nobody cared enough to keep me as a patient.

Overall, my experience with Psych Matters was disheartening. Discovering that therapists leaving without explanation was a common issue, as indicated by other reviews, only added to the disappointment. I would caution anyone seeking mental health support to find a place that values its patients and provides the care and respect they deserve, which Psych Matters unfortunately failed to deliver.

Dr. Scardino, the psychiatrist is rude, irritable, and disrespectful. If your child misses their phone call, you may be charged a $150. Therapist/owner was incredibly condescending to patient and family. Clerical staff will not respond to insurance requests. I would not consider this place unless there are no other options available.

I have been calling for three hours and they keep telling me that my doctor or Mr. Rene will call me back or at least send my prescription to the pharmacy. However I keep getting hung up on and the lady is very rude when she’s talking to me like if I were to beg or something I have been dealing with them for the last year and a half….. very disappointed. my doctor is an amazing doctor. However, his staff are trash.
