If I could give this place negative stares I definitely would, DO NOT GO HERE! Believe the reviews when you read them I had my mishap. ⤵️
I went back to this facility after years of being away,to be prescribed medication. I gave them the list of medications that I was already taking and asked if any of the meds I was taking would have any issues with each other or cause any problems. The doctor said "No of course not everything is okay just watch your blood pressure and heart rate " I nodded and said okay and left. The following day I started taking the new medications, my body felt weird my heart rate was pretty bad but that was only the start. As the week went on I started to have extremely bad acid reflux and the feeling as if I needed to throw up, I ignored it until the only idea I had to help my stomach was to throw up. I started throwing up two days a week and that turned into every day, I missed a day of work because the night before I couldn't sleep cause of how my stomach was feeling. I couldn't eat food, drink anything do anything because of the fear of throwing up. Finally me my boyfriend and mother looked up the medications I was taking and the new ones. We all found out in a matter of seconds that two of them will cause you to throw up when mixed. So I stopped all of my medications so my body could hopefully get a good restart.
When I say do not to here, I mean it DO NOT GO HERE. Find a better facility, doctor, and staff . YOU DESERVE BETTER

Alyssa was very attentive and extremely professional over the phone. She made sure everything was correct and covered. I was very informed about every step she was making to ensure everything went smoothly. I’d recommend Alyssa to all my friends, family, and strangers who value customer service, professional etiquette, and overall high performance.

10/23/2024 Update:

At some point I was passed on to Shelby Simpson, Vice President of Operations at PsychPlus. While she seemed helpful at first, she is no longer responding to my emails. I have provided my EOBs and they consistently have failed to provide a breakdown with numbers tying out. You’d think a business that wants to get paid would cooperate, but what I’m finding is they will just try to wear you down so you get tired and pay what they say you owe versus what you actually owe. It’s not that hard to show “you owe this much for insurance, you’ve paid this much, and this much is the difference that you owe/need a refund for.” Absolutely insane.

9/26/2024 Update:

I beg anyone who is reading this to avoid this business like your life depends on it. PLEASE pay attention to the money they autodebit from you, the bills they send you, and your explanation of benefits from your insurance. I explicitly asked for a refund and instead of granting that or even letting me know what they were doing, they intentionally kept me hanging on so they would not have to give any money back. But what I also discovered is that they have billed my insurance for a higher amount of services that I did not receive during some of my visits, their website and bills list a provider I have never seen, and a lot of information seems to be impossible to access by design. There is also NO WAY to remove your payment information online. They WILL do you dirty just like they did me and all the others here.

One star is truly too generous for the level of unprofessionalism this scam of a business has. I have been using them since the beginning of February and did not realize until many months later I was paying more than I should have. They would auto-debit money from me on the day of my virtual appointments, and I would receive a bill in the mail around a month later that I would pay immediately. I started asking questions once my patient responsibly jumped up around $30 for the same services. I was mostly curious but then uncovered the theft and fraud this business is responsible for.

I let billing know I had overpaid and needed a refund. The conversations started out fine, but it’s only after asking nicely for months with no resolution that you realize they have zero intention of paying you that extra money. The only way I was even able to get a part of my funds back was to literally yell at them. But if it walks like a thief and talks like a thief…naturally they went back to their old ways even after all of this. My provider here is aware of the issue and said many patients have had to leave due to the same issues.

For all those leaving similar reviews and experiencing this gross misuse of power, I suggest you file a claim with your insurance for fraud, file a report with the attorney general, dispute your charges, and contact legal counsel if you’re able. Don’t allow people like this to continue victimizing others. With enough action they will not be able to continue operating.

I wish I had looked at the reviews first. This place is a scam, people. You're supposed to help customers not cause more anxiety. I was told one price of 150 for my copay, which is outrageous 1st off. And 2nd they charged me 300 without communication. When I called and asked, they said the doctor wanted to in my network, so they just charged me as self pay. Lack of respect and communication with these people. I'm not stopping until I get my money back.

Take your money and time elsewhere. This place has canceled my appointments 3 times and rescheduled me in a matter of a week. Not to mention the receptionist who took my information sounded like a scammer. She wanted me to take a picture of my insurance info and "text" it to her And continued to pressure me for my credit card information? Good thing I'm smart enough to know better. Whoever is running this place should be investigated.

I'm redoing my entire review. My psychiatrist is wonderful, I've never had an issue with her, so this is all I'll be stating on that front. The real gripe is billing. When I started coming to psychplus, I entered my card info on the user portal. I don't remember if I ever had access to the payments tab, but on mobile, it now gives a 404, and on desktop, it doesn't exist? For 4 months now, I've been getting billed once through stripe and an additional time through the website paystatementonline.com, and they're always both the same amount. I've sent 4 emails, called 3 times, and left a message on the contact us page on the website, and in return, I've received 1 phone call (I was at work, no response when I called back) and a 1 sentence email. The only thing I want is either a reason I get charged twice through separate platforms or a resolution to the problem. On my statement, I've also been getting Dr. Tai's name, not my psychiatrists, or not until this most recent appointment, that is. Overall, the appointments go great, but there is no communication, the website links to a page that doesn't exist and has for at least 2 months, and without paper bills, which I do not get, you can't see a proper break down of how you're billed or insurance is adjusted. It's beginning to feel untrustworthy.

Unbelievable! My insurance referred me to these people "Psych Plus" Apparently some kind of network of providers like Village Plumbing. Contacting my therapist is a complete hassle. Need to put a request in to make another appointment with the Service, requesting this provider by name. No one at any time had me sign and confidentiality or authorization to treatment. Seems this group "Psych Plus" has opened themselves up to some legal trouble. My advice is to steer clear of these folks.

I have already reported to Medicare and Medicaid. They want to bill different prices for no reason! $325, $642, and once they even billed insurance for $1,000. They literally see you for 5 min. If you are a person of a sound mind and actually want help from your psych, DO NOT GO HERE! STAY AWAY!!
But if you are one of those people that just want their meds and to be zombified , then be my guest. Just stay away from Melissa Giminez. She’s not even a doctor yet they are billing for doctor prices. She’s a NP!
